Brazing Alloys, Fluxes & Binders

Choose a silver, copper-phosphorus or nickel/composite filler, or select a separate flux or binder. Compare documented grades, powder cuts, viscosity ranges and packs, then configure the joint and application requirements.

Filler metals

Select a filler alloy

Compare documented grades and forms, then enter base materials, joint geometry, dimensions and heating conditions.

Copper-Phosphorus Brazing Alloys

Compare BCuP-3 and BCuP-5 references: 5% and 15% silver in documented 0.050 × 1/8 inch flat, 8-stick tubes. Specify round diameter or flat-strip thickness and width, then the required cut length.

Nickel & Composite Brazing Alloys

Compare BNi-5 and BNi-5b powder cuts, plus two nickel/chromium/phosphorus/copper composite powders. Specify particle size, filler form, base materials, joint clearance and furnace conditions.

Silver Brazing Alloys

Compare BAg-5 and BAg-7 references: 45% and 56% silver, each in a documented 1/16 inch round, 5-stick tube. Specify the diameter, cut length, filler form and packaging you need.

Application aids

Select a flux or binder

Flux and binder serve different purposes. Define the required flux or binder system and its application conditions separately from the filler alloy.

Brazing Binders & Cements

Compare four solvent-binder viscosity ranges, a water-based liquid binder and a water-based gel for extrudable paste. Review the documented 1, 3 or 4 kg packs, then specify the formulation and dispensing conditions you need.

  • 5–9 cP
  • 2–6 cP
  • 25–65 cP
  • 375–475 cP at 25°C (77°F)
  • Water-based gel suspending agent

Brazing Fluxes

Compare white FB3-A and black FB3-C paste fluxes by activity range and container size. White references include 6.5 oz, 7 oz and selected 1/4–60 lb packs; black references include selected 1/2–60 lb jars and pails. Select liquid or gel binders separately under Brazing Binders & Cements.
